While growing up Jay always wanted to have his own Dance Band. His father introduced him to this music by dragging him off to the famous Hub Ballroom in Edelstein, Illinois hearing bands as Guy Lombardo, Tiny Hill, Russ Morgan and Horace Heidt & his Musical Knights.   After high school Jay fronted a Big Band.  But Rock & Roll hit and the big band was put aside for a career in radio and television. Jay first heard about The UK 1940s Radio Station on the internet as he was traveling. Jay enjoyed hearing the level of original archive broadcast programs from the 1940s. Jay offered his expertise to help The UK 1940s Radio Station’s goal to promote the music in the UK and Stateside
